CLEANING AND OILING YOUR SCISSORS

Daily cleaning and oiling will enhance the performance and extend the cutting life of your scissors.

Scissors are not meant to be used dry (without oil). Oil scissors everyday with a good quality scissor oil, this will make them cut better, stop them corroding and they will last longer.

When the blades are covered with hair and moisture, rust can occur.

Carefully remove all hair and moisture with a paper towel, put one drop of oil on either side of the screw and then apply a thin line of oil along the scissor blades with the tip of your oil dispenser.

Gently open and close your scissors a few times then very carefully remove excess oil and debris with a clean paper towel.

Your scissors should be cleaned at the end of the day and left oiled and stored overnight.

STORAGE

Store your scissors in a place where you cannot damage the edges (leather sheaf, pouch) and be mindful that moisture trapped in a plastic case will corrode your scissors.

REMEMBER  in order for your scissors to cut correctly you must check the tension regularly.
