We provide a full clipper blade service where we sharpen and
reset your blades to factory specifications.
Clipper blades are reassembled to precise set back dimensions, alignment and
tolerances of tension.
Our machinery is specially designed for sharpening clipper blades and all methods
create a micro-serrated finish giving clipper blades an excellent cutting edge.
We have three types of sharpening plates:
Dog, cat and some horse clipper blades are sharpened on plates which are specially tapered for precision hollow grinding. Small clipper blades are originally hollow ground; this means that both the top and bottom blades have a concave arch to them, which enables the teeth to cut.
Some horse clipper blades need to be sharpened on flat grinding plates.
All ceramic cutting blades are sharpened by hand using diamond honing plates.

Blade sharpening is a skill, it takes a huge amount of practice and experience to
accurately sharpen a wide range of different clipper blades and scissors.
We have professional methods, state of the art equipment, expert knowledge and years of experience.
Because of our experience, we can often rectify mistakes made by other sharpening companies.
An inexperienced sharpener or one without the correct equipment could
destroy your clipper blades/scissors.
Losing the use of your clipper blades/scissors for any length of time is inconvenient,
therefore we will return your blades to you within 2 working days (from the date of receipt).
SCISSORS
Scissors are sharpened on the most advanced high precision equipment in the world.
We sharpen all scissors including thinning scissors and left handed scissors.
Our sharpening expertise will optimise the performance of your scissors.
Your scissors will have either bevel edges or convex edges
(this is fully explained in the Convex/Bevel section).
Elite Edges service scissors on the same machinery used for manufacturing scissors.
When sharpening premium scissors, we are one of the only companies in the UK to sharpen
both inside and the outside of the blade (the inside using Japanese wet stones) which is the
same method used in Japanese factories, because it produces the sharpest scissors.
